Seven Desert Speed School athletes have advanced in the state baseball playoffs, most notably Efrain Cervantes and Daniel Durazo of Salpointe, whose Lancer team defeated #1 seed Nogales. Salpointe got clutch hitting in the game from both athletes, with Durazo (above) scoring in the 6th inning for the Lancers and Cervantes going 2-2 at the plate in the game.
