Desert Speed School athlete Preston Clifford was the ace on the mound for Sabino earlier this week in their state championship win in the 3A title game. Fellow Sabertcats and Speed School athletes Mike Snyder and Dylan Dalrymple also were critical as Sabino rallied to overcome an early 3-0 deficit in the game, with Clifford striking out nine in the process.
