Speed School athlete Andrew Edwards will take the mound this season as the Eagles’ ace with one goal in mind – a third consecutive state championship. Coming off a junior season in which he carried a 1.12 ERA along with a .494 average at the plate, the senior pitcher also hopes that a strong season will improve his standing for the 2015 MLB Draft.
Along with Edwards, Ironwood Ridge junior Derek Daly was listed by the Arizona Daily Star as one of the top players to watch in the 2015 season.
