The Empire Ravens softball team, fresh off a season in which they won the school’s first team state championship, made an appearance in the national rankings, coming in at 41st overall in the Maxpreps rankings. Sandra Day O’Connor, which won the D-I state title, was the only Arizona team listed ahead of Empire, coming in a few slots higher at #38 (see the rankings).
Empire was led by Speed School athletes Brittany Woolridge and Noelle Kerr, both major contributors in their thrilling state championship run. Woolridge has signed to play collegiately at Texas A&M.
