Five Speed School athletes were selected by local coaches, as some of the top local talent, to participate in post-season All-Star games held at Kino Stadium. Ironwood’s Derek Daly was selected to the “Seniors” game for upperclassmen, while Sahuaro’s Stockton Pringle and Preston Clifford joined Salpointe’s Efrain Cervantes and Cienega’s Nick Gonzales in the “Futures” game.
For his part, Daly went 2-3 at the plate, bringing in two runs during the game. Daly was also selected by the Arizona Baseball Coaches Association to participate in an All-Star game to be played later this summer in Oklahoma. Full game recap…
