Congratulations to Michael Lopez, a Sabino graduate and former Speed School athlete, who will begin his coaching career this upcoming season. Lopez was hired as the assistant baseball coach for Howard College in Big Spring, Texas. Lopez is also a University of Arizona graduate, where he played baseball under his father, former head coach Andy Lopez. To date, he is the first Speed School athlete to take on a coaching position at the collegiate level.
