Player of the Year honors for Travis Davis

St. David’s Travis Davis was recently named 1A Player of the Year by AllSportsTucson sportswriter Andy Morales. Davis passed for over 2,000 yards with 33 touchdowns, and ran for an additional 13 scores to go along with 987 yards, ultimately leading the St. David’s team to the semifinals of the 1A playoffs. In addition to POY honors, Davis was also named 1st-team quarterback, 1st-team punter, and 1st-team defense.

Both Davis and St. David’s teammate Curtis Mayberry regularly made the hour-long trek to Tucson throughout the summer for speed/agility training at the Speed School. Mayberry also picked up post-season honors as well, having been named both 2nd-team Offense and 2nd-team Defense. Complete 1A All-Stars…
