14 Speed School athletes from Salpointe and Pusch Ridge advanced to the 4A and 3A state championship games following semifinal wins from both teams. Salpointe got 202 yards and 2 touchdowns from Mario Padilla running behind Matteo Mele in erasing a 14-0 deficit. They will face Saguaro on December 2nd at Arizona Stadium with the 4A title at stake, while Pusch will take on Casteel at Campo Verde on November 25th in the 3A championship game, having come off a dominating 47-7 win in their semifinal.
