Speed School and anchor of the Salpointe offensive line, Matteo Mele, was recently honored with a Top Ten ranking by Greg Hanson of the Arizona Daily Star.
Southern Arizona and the Tucson region had one of its strongest seasons in recent history, with Salpointe and Pusch Ridge making the title game – not to mention strong showings from Cienega, Marana, and traditional powerhouses Ironwood, CDO, Foothills, and Sabino. It should come as no surprise, therefore, that Hansen’s list was absolutely loaded for 2017. The list was comprised of players from any position and includes Mele at #4.
