Former Tucson Toros and Padres outfielder Daniel Robertson, a Speed School athlete while in the Padres organization, was recently traded to the Texas Rangers organization. Robertson was immediately called up to the majors, where he has been the starting left fielder and at times, lead-off hitter for the Rangers.

Meanwhile, Pusch Ridge alum Aaron Vaughn, his college’s all-time winningest pitcher, was drafted by the Houston Astros. Read about it here.

Best of luck to both Speed School athletes at the professional level!
