Salpointe’s Yash Parikh and Foothills’ Kirtana Bhat were named the Boys’ and Girls’ Tennis Players of the Year by nearly every media outlet following their state championships during the 2014 season. Both juniors, Parikh and Bhat will be favorites to repeat in 2015 along with competing at a high level on the national scene.
Additionally, Desert Christian’s Jenna Cray – also a 2014 State Champion – was named D-III Player of the Year by AllSportsTucson.
