Tucson Rattlers Win Vegas Title

Desert Speed School athlete Nikya Orange and her Tucson Rattlers teammates have been taking on – and beating – the top club teams in the country this summer. Coming off a dominating 5-1 record in Chicago for the Nike Tournament, the Rattlers won the Las Vegas NCAA Super Showcase, according to Javier Morales of AllSportsTucson. A low-post player who plays bigger than her actual frame, Orange has been averaging a double-double throughout both tournaments. She hit two critical last-second shots in a double-OT thriller to put her Rattlers team in the semifinals, and added 9 points and 11 rebounds in the semifinal game to send the team to the title game. Full story…
