As reported by Javier Morales of AllSportsTucson, Desert Speed School athlete Katie Adams led her Salpointe girls’ team with 13 points in a top-10 matchup between No. 4 Salpointe and No. 8 Sunnyside. Described as “calm and collected,” she was perfect from the free throw line, and added 7 rebounds and 2 steals to her stat line. The 48-35 win against a strong and aggressive Sunnyside team moves the Lancers, now 14-1 on the season, up to the #1 ranking in 4A.
