As reported by Elvia Verdugo of The Arizona Daily Star, Sahuaro senior and Pima College-commit Cisco Llamas was a recent recipient of Student-Athlete of the Week honors.
A four-year starter for the Cougars, Llamas hit a major milestone earlier this season when he broke the Sahuaro scoring record. “He’s the hardest worker at the gym every day as our best player,” said Sahuaro head coach Jim Henry. “He’s a great teammate. He’s a humble individual. So even though he’s one of the best players in town, he never lets people know it” (see full article HERE).
Llamas and his Sahuaro team take on Mesquite in the 4A State Playoffs later this week.
