As reported by Javier Morales of AllSportsTucson, both the Pima men’s and women’s soccer teams have secured wins in the NJCAA National Championship Tournament. On the men’s side, Speed School athlete Jackson Cosgrove and his Aztec teammates have advanced through pool play to the semifinal round, where they face rival Phoenix College with a trip to the title match on the line.
On the women’s side, the 6th-ranked Aztecs featured a strong local lineup, including three Speed School athletes: Karina Tapia, Hannah Romero, and Emma Beach. The women won their first pool play game, but were eliminated in the following match, finishing the season with a 14-2-5 record.
