A Tucson team is guaranteed to advance to the prestigious Open Division state championship game, with #2 Catalina Foothills squaring off against cross-town #4 Mica Mountain tonight in the semifinal game. The game features Speed School athletes on both sides of the pitch, with Sergio Velasco Soto (Foothills) facing Colin Douglas, Evan Mayfield, and Landon McKendrick (Mica). Mica advanced to this route via a thrilling quarterfinal win in PKs over traditional powerhouse Salpointe, with Douglas putting the clincher in the back of the net.
