Record for James and near-upset for Empire

Empire was led by senior Deion James’ 31 points in a near-upset of neighboring Cienega in the boys’ basketball playoffs, ultimately falling 66-63. The 31 points scored by James give him 1,650 for his career, an Empire school record. See Andy Morales’ fantastic full game recap…
