Desert Speed School athlete Michael Masunas participated in the Stanford Elite Camp earlier this week, according to Andy Morales of AllSportsTucson. Masunas, a sophomore tight end at Sabino, has played for the US National team in the past and is rapdily attracting scouting attention for his size and receiving skills. Full story…
Eight Speed School athletes recently participated in the post-season “Seniors” and “Futures” All-Star baseball and softball games. On the girls’ side, Bela Goerke, Cassidy Morrow, and Kianna Galindo (above) all played in the softball games. Desert Speed School athlete and New Mexico State reliever Andrew Edwards was recently selected by the New York Mets organization in the MLB Draft. A lefty pitcher who held opposing batters to .270 in 24 appearances for the Aggies, Edwards is coveted for his 95 mph fastball and change up. Full story…
