Playing in a COVID-shortened season, Desert Speed School’s volleyball players still managed to find success on the court this fall, highlighted by Salpointe’s 4A state championship. In addition, three players – Sophia Vera of Empire, along with Megan Muehlebach and Brandy Kishbaugh of Salpointe – earned Player of the Year recognition. Ironwood’s Alyssa Feltman, whose season was cut short by an injury, was also recognized by AllSportsTucson with the Spirit of Competition award.
