As reported by Andy Morales of AZPreps365, Desert Speed School athletes Derek Zobrist-Carroll, Frankie Maturo, and Ryan Guillot were part of the state championship-winning Cienega boys’ volleyball team. The Bobcats won the title match in straight sets – even exacting a measure of redemption in defeating the team, AZ College Prep, that had eliminated them in the first round the previous year. Zobrist-Carroll added six kills to the powerful Bobcat offense.
