Desert Speed School athlete and Ironwood Ridge graduate Julian De Alva was recently named Minnesota College Athletic Conference Player of the Week, following an impressive four-game series for the Rainy River Voyageurs. From the MCAC press release:
De Alva had a whopping .417 batting average (5 for 12) in the four-game series with 6 runs scored, 2 RBI, and a stolen base. He was also responsible for putting out 9 runners including 2 separate double plays, with one of those unassisted.
