As reported by Andy Morales, Desert Speed School athletes Kylie Wild and Michael Urbanski of Salpointe are among the top runners expected to contend for individual and team state title honors this weekend at the cross-country championships. Wild, a junior, is the defending state champion and was the girls’ Southern Sectional Winner. Urbanski, also a junior, was the boys’ runner-up at the Southern Sectional. Both were part of the 2020 boys’ and girls’ team state championship wins for Salpointe, and look to help the Lancers defend that title.
