As reported by Javier Morales of AllSportsTucson, Desert Speed School athlete and Empire two-way standout Jake Lambert was recently honored by the Grand Canyon State Gridiron Club as an Ed Doherty Award Winner finalist. Lambert starred in the backfield and also as a linebacker for the Ravens, and finished the season as the leading tackler in Southern Arizona along with joining the 1,000 yard rushing club. The Ed Doherty Award is given out annually to the top player in the state.
