posted in: News, Swimming

As reported by AllSportsTucson, Desert Speed School athlete Grayson Thé and his Tanque Verde swim teammates won the DIII State Championship title recently, with Thé also winning a relay title as part of the 200 Free Relay. The relays proved to be a strong suit for the Hawks program, with the 200 Med Relay and 400 Free Relay also scoring points with 4th and 5th-place finishes, respectively. The state championship is the first in the school’s history.

On the girls’ side, Speed School athlete Taylor Basken (Salpointe) and her relay teammates won the 200 Free Relay state championship, and added a 4th place finish in the 200 Med Relay. The Lancers finished as State Runners-Up at the DII Championship.
