As reported by Javier Morales, Desert Christian junior Tyson Dobbins was named AllSportsTucson Athlete of the Month for February. Dobbins was coming off a first-round playoff performance in which he scored 43 points and a season in which he averaged 28.6/game. His 43-point playoff game put him over 2,000 points for his career and, with his senior year still remaining, placed him within striking distance of the Southern Arizona career scoring record of 2,901 (Terrell Stoglin).
