As reported by Andy Morales of AZPreps365, 3A Tanque Verde softball had an impressive run through the Dorado Classic, going 6-2 over three days to make it to the championship game, where they eventually lost to 5A powerhouse and host school CDO. The Hawks picked up wins over traditionally strong programs Tucson High, Cienega, and Desert Vista throughout the tournament. Tanque Verde’s roster includes a number of Speed School athletes: Cassidy Jones, Shea Reilly, Julia Pratt, Lizzy Pratt, and Ella Haggard.
