With the state semifinal matchups taking place tonight, a number of Speed School athletes will be hoping to help their teams advance to the championship game. These include #1-ranked Salpointe taking on #4 Ironwood Ridge. The top-seeded Lancers feature Speed School athletes Paloma Teran, Lauren Bollinger, and Kate Connelly, while Ironwood Ridge has Emma McCormick and Kelly Koppy. Meanwhile, #7 Catalina Foothills (Payton Maxwell, Faith Flores) will take on #3 Notre Dame Prep.
At the Division IV level, Mykayla Toth and the Tanque Verde Hawks are riding a five-game winning streak heading into their matchup with Pusch Ridge, with the winner also advancing to the finals. See all matchups here…
UPDATE: Both Salpointe and Tanque Verde won their semi-final matchups, advancing to the State Championship game on Saturday for their respective divisions.
