First-Team Honors For Callahan

Desert Speed School athlete and Salpointe grad Kylee Callahan, now the starting point guard for Knox College (KS), was recently named 1st-Team All-Conference for the Midwest Conference along with high school and current teammate Bria Medina. From a Knox press release:

On the season, Callahan averaged 15.9 points per game, 7.0 rebounds per game, and 3.1 assists per game.

“I am very proud of these two amazing young women,” said head coach Seth McDowell. “They put the work in and truly deserve this, I see great things for both of them in years to come.”

The Prairie Fire had the best offense in the conference during the season, averaging 73.4 points per game in league play. They also finished first in the MWC in assists per game (14.56), steals (12.63), turnover margin (6.40) and assist to turnover ratio (.91) and second in rebounds per game (41.3).
