Four First-Place Finishes At Lancer Invitational

27 teams from across the state recently descended upon Tucson for the Lancer Invitational, hosted by Salpointe. Salpointe’s own Kylie Wild was a top performer at the meet, winning both the girls 800m and 1600m – with a school-record 5:01 time in the latter event. Other Desert Speed School athletes taking home first-place finishes included Catalina Foothills’ Connor Cagno, who won the boys’ 400m, and Sabino’s Emarie Sooter (above), who took first in the girls’ pole vault.
