As reported by Andy Morales, Desert Speed School athlete and defending cross-country state champion Kylie Wild was the girls’ overall winner in the recent John Gleeson XC Invitational, finishing the 5k course in 18:06. Rising distance-running star Michael Urbanski was the 5th-place finisher on the boys’ side with a 16:25 finish. Both look to lead their Salpointe teams to strong finishes in the upcoming postseason meets.
