Desert Speed School athletes Makenna Brown (Ironwood Ridge) and Emarie Sooter (Sabino) were named 2021 Girls’ Golf All-Stars recently by AllSportsTucson. Sooter – who also happens to be one of the top pole-vaulters in the state when competing for the Sabino track team – was named as a 3rd-team selection. Brown – a three-time state champion as part of the Ironwood Ridge girls’ team – was a 1st-team pick.
