Desert Speed School athlete and New Mexico State infielder Nick Gonzales was recently named NCAA Player of the Week, according to Andy Morales of AllSportsTucson. The recognition comes following a series in which he recorded 17 RBI over four games, and on the heels of the news that he was a unanimous Preseason All-American selection heading into the spring season.
