Coming off the strongest season in school history, Desert Speed School athlete Rocco Haggard has his Tanque Verde football team off to a 2-1 start heading into Week 4 of the high school season. Offensively, Haggard threw for 4 touchdowns in a convincing 38-8 win over Phoenix Cortez in Week 3. On the defensive side of the ball, Haggard starts at linebacker for the Hawks and is one of the area leaders in interceptions (2).
Tanque Verde takes on Palo Verde (2-1) today in a battle of eastside-area teams.
