Heerboth, Case Western Win National Title

Desert Speed School alum Wade Heerboth, an assistant coach with the Case Western Reserve men’s tennis team, was part of the Spartans’ 2023 National Championship recent victory. Following a successful high school career at Catalina Foothills, Heerboth starred for the Kenyon College men’s team, where he became one of the most decorated players in program history. From his coaching bio:

Heerboth, who earned All-America honors for both his singles and doubles play, joins the Spartans after an accomplished collegiate playing career at Kenyon College.  He was a four-year member of the men’s tennis team at Kenyon, serving as a team captain during his junior and senior seasons, and finishing his career with the second-most singles wins (83-20) and doubles wins (89-30) in the program’s history.  A two-time NCAC Player of the Year, he helped his team to the finals of the NCAA Division III Championship during his freshman year, and was part of a team that won the ITA Indoor National Championship and was ranked first in Division III during his sophomore year.

Case Western won the national title as the capstone on a historic season for the program. The Spartans went 33-4 on the season, including winning the ITA Indoor National Championship, the DIII Outdoor National Championship, and the individual title for their doubles’ team.
