Desert Speed School athletes Carmen Hernandez and Maddie Copelin helped lead their Cienega team to a tournament win the Lion’s Den Invitational, held at Mountain View High School. As reported by Andy Morales, Hernandez took control in the title match, providing 22 assists – with Copelin as her main target (9 kills). For her part, Copelin was named to the All-Tournament team.
