Desert Speed School athletes Jake Lambert and Ryan Fontaine remain among the top Tucson-area statistical leaders heading into Week 8 of the high school season. A two-way standout for Empire, RB/LB Lambert is currently ranked #3 in tackles among local players. Meanwhile, Pusch Ridge quarterback Fontaine has his Lions off to a 5-1 start, thanks in part to his 70% completion percentage and 13/1 TD-INT ratio, and ranks #4 in passing yardage.
