Desert Speed School athlete Jake Lambert was recently awarded nomination for the Ed Doherty Award, the highest high school football honor a player can receive in the state of Arizona. Lambert received the recognition following a Week 11 performance for his Empire Ravens in which he rushed for 216 yards – including 3 touchdowns – and added 10 tackles on the defensive side.
