As reported by Andy Morales of AZPreps365, Desert Speed School athlete and Salpointe standout Izaiah Moraga was the winning pitcher on Opening Day of the recent Lancer Classic. Moraga threw 4 innings (5K) and added a first-inning RBI single to contribute to the scoring in what was a 4-0 win for the Lancers over Seton Catholic. In addition to Moraga, a South Mountain College commit, Salpointe also includes Speed School athletes Dominic DePinto, Paul Saffer, Anthony Milo, Jude Huether, Andres Coronado.
