A total of 11 Desert Speed School athletes signed national letters-of-intent last week to compete at the collegiate level, highlighted by back-to-back soccer state champions Grace Kaufman and Kate Connelly of Salpointe along with 2018 baseball state champion Preston Clifford. In all, athletes who made collegiate commitments included:

Seth Nager, Ironwood Ridge – Arizona State baseball
Keira Painter, Ironwood Ridge – Midland softball
Hannah Stark, Sabino – Southern Oregon softball
Cassie Castaneda, Sabino – North Dakota softball
Preston Clifford, Sabino – New Mexico state baseball
Tati Hannah-Ortiz, Sahuarita – Western New Mexico volleyball
Grace Kaufman, Salpointe – Boise State soccer
Kate Connelly, Salpointe – Seattle University soccer
Claire Dunn, Salpointe – Abilene Christian beach volleyball
