Desert Speed School athlete and Cameron University outside hitter Arianna Navarrete was named as a Lone Star Conference Honorable Mention selection recently, following her senior season for the Aggies. From the university press release:
Navarrete, a senior outside hitter from Tucson, Ariz., was selected to the LSC All-Conference Honorable Mention team after playing in a total of 109 sets across 31 matches. She averaged 3.17 kills per set, amassing 346 kills on the season and collecting 985 kills for her career. Navarrete grabbed 356 digs on the year, bringing her career total to 849.
She had 13 double-doubles in 2022, third most in a single season, which ended her Aggie career with 24, which ranks second most in Cameron history. Navarrete had the third most digs in a single game, with 36 digs against the University of Mary on Sept. 3.
Navarrete, majoring in Psychology, was named to the All-Academic team for the third consecutive season.
