As reported by Britanny Bowyer of AllSportsTucson, Desert Speed School athletes and Sabino seniors Riley Nielson and Ashley Stewart were instrumental in a 16-7 semifinal win for the Sabercats that advances them to the 3A state title game, where they will have the chance to defend their 2021 State Championship. Hitting by both players and pitching by the Southern Utah-commit Nielson gave Sabino a decisive win in what was a rematch of an epic 15-inning battle a year prior. Sabino will face #2 Winslow on Friday for the state title.
