Desert Speed School athlete and All-State golfer Chase Pickering has started the 2024 season strong, with a first-place finish at Dove Mountain earlier this week. As reported by Andy Morales of AllSportsTucson, Pickering – who was 16th at the state championships last year – defeated the field and winning by 2 strokes to help lead his Sabino team to a win over Mica Mountain and Ironwood Ridge. Fellow Speed School athlete Hudson Parker of Mica Mountain was 4th at the match.
