Desert Speed School athlete and Salpointe running back Mario Padilla was honored by AllSportsTucson this week as Week 9 Player of the Week. This follows his performance in a Salpointe win over Catalina Foothills in which he amazed 128 yards rushing and 89 yards receiving to go along with 3 touchdowns for the Lancers. The win moved Salpointe to 9-0 and the #1 4A ranking in the state.
In addition, Sabino linebacker Richie Pina was also recognized on the Week 9 Honor Roll as well after he collected 7 tackles and 2 sacks for the Sabercats. Full list…
