Coming off an epic 15-inninng 1-0 win on Friday night, the Sabino softball team proved no worse for wear in Monday’s state title game. As reported by Andy Morales of AZPreps365, the Sabercats relied on yet another solid outing from Speed School athlete and ace pitcher Riley Nielson, and also got timely hitting by teammate and fellow Speed School athlete Ashley Stewart, ultimately coming away with a 4-1 victory over Payson for the state championship.
Speed School athletes Desirre Miranda and Aubree Totten are also part of the state champion Sabercats team.
