Salpointe picked up scores from Xavier Farhang and Mario Padilla en route to a dominating semifinal victory over #5 Sahuaro in the high school football playoffs, advancing them for the second year in the row to the state championship game. The win pits the Lancers against a familiar opponent – Scottsdale Saguaro – one of the top teams in the country and the program that defeated Salpointe for the 2017 state championship and before that, in the 2016 semifinals.
