A total of 23 Desert Speed School athletes among 7 local high school teams enter the state playoffs this week with win-or-go-home implications. The teams are headlined by Salpointe, who qualified for the newly-formed elite Open Division as the #4 team at any level. Sahuaro now takes the #1 4A position as it looks to take a title at that division. Teams and players vying for first-round wins will include:
