Desert Speed School alum and University of Arizona infielder Carlie Scupin received both athletic and academic recognition recently, according to a university press release. After leading the Wildcats in slugging percentage this season, Scupin was named 2nd-Team All-Region. In addition, she was named CSC All-Academic after finishing the year with a 3.68 GPA. The academic recognition qualifies her for All-American consideration.
