Four Speed School athletes were named to Arizona Daily Star columnist Greg Hansen’s Top 100 list honoring the top Southern Arizona sports figures of 2015. Spanning a wide range of levels (high school, collegiate, pro, and Olympic) as well as roles (athletes, coaches, administrators, and more), the annual list is always impressive in its achievements among the athletes.
This year, four Speed School athletes were honored on the list. They were:
#22 – Devyn Hunley, Pima Soccer – AllAmerican, All-Region, MVP of Region Tournament, National qualifier
#44 – Brandi Park, Pima Soccer – All-Region, National qualifier
#52 – Brittany Woolridge, Empire Softball – Winning pitcher for Empire High School’s first team state championship in any sport
#54 – Jeremy Timpf – Army football – Co-Captain of Army and led the team in tackles. 2015 Preseason All-American and Bednarik Award Watch List (nation’s top linebacker)
