Track & Field: Southern Arizona Championships

Seen as a precursor to the State Championships in just over a week, the Southern Arizona Championships brought out some of the top track & field talent in the area, with Speed School athletes among some of the top performers. Individual meet champions included Kyle Wild in the 1600m, Emarie Sooter in the pole vault, and Paden Hall and Kyle Cagno as part of the Catalina Foothills 4×400 relay team.

Top performers included:

Kylie Wild, Salpointe – 1st (1600m), 3rd (800m)

Michael Urbanski, Salpointe – 2nd (1600m), 11th (800m)

Paden Hall, Catalina Foothills – 1st (4×400), 3rd (400m), 4th (200m)

Emarie Sooter, Sabino – 1st (Pole Vault)

Ava Sooter, Sabino – 4th (Pole Vault)

Alexis Saffer, Catalina Foothills – 7th (300 hurdles)

Gabriela Dabdoub, Salpointe – 7th (High Jump), 20th (400m)

Luis Zaragoza, Salpointe – 13th (110 hurdles)
