16 Desert Speed School athletes were recognized for their performance on the volleyball court throughout the 2021 high school season, highlighted by Cienega senior Zoe Winstryg (Top Performer; Region Player of the Year), Empire’s Gisselle Vergara (Region Defensive Player of the Year), UHS’ Sophia Lee (Region Defensive Player of the Year), and Mica Mountain setter Addie Andrews (Southern Arizona Freshman of the Year).
